Beware...
THERE ARE MONSTERS IN THE FOREST! We left on a hunt to find habitats in our forest, and stumbled upon a witch making monsters.
Run, run as fast as you can - AD and MP will catch you if they can!

During meeting today we talked about what it means to be a Birch Room Friend. What should our bodies, brains, and hearts do? After much conversation we decided Birch Friends...
Help Others.
Are Kind to Everyone.
Clean Up.
Take Care (of ourselves, others, our classroom, our whole world).
Stick Together, Always.
Show Respect.
These agreements inspired us, so we decided to add a little intentional practice into our weekly walk.
We put on our "observation hats" and turned them WAY up! We were walking with two purposes. 1. Find places things can live in our neighborhood 2. Be the best Birch Room Friend we could be.
Check out our photos and videos, can you see ways we followed our agreements? Did you know our whole community is full homes for things, from cars to squirrels and birds to bugs.
Birch room has been focusing on animals and their habitats over the last few days. So today, we took our curiosity outside. What better place to think, explore, and ask questions?
How can we take care of living things?
What do we need to live somewhere?
What do other living things need to live?
Can anything live anywhere?
We gathered supplies, found the perfect spot and asked our class,
What lives in the garden?
One of the most magical things about Ambrose is our celebration of each child, in so many different ways. We may not have a traditional holiday party or parade, but we find ways each day to focus on what makes each child special and celebrate their success, growth, milestones, and anything else we can think of.
Birthdays are no exception.
During our morning meeting I asked friends if they knew why today was special. We played a little guessing game, trying to figure out who turned five this weekend.
