Children were presented balls of yarn that they began to connect with one another.
We dedicated a space in our classroom that allowed for further exploration with space on a larger scale. The children worked individually and collaboratively to create the space.
MG was even inspired to write a poem about the space.
We later added colorful ribbons to the space to see how the area would change.
We dedicated some time to move throughout the space. Some observations are below:
"Through this hole and pull. I'm still learning how to knot."
"I'm going to take this path."
"I wanted to take a long path."
"Go through that big hole."
"Step over."
"I'm in a teeny spot."
"I took shortcuts."
"Back the other way."
