As I sat back and watched the children play in the mud kitchen, I started to think back to when I was little and played in my yard. The children were so engaged and were enjoying the mud and water mixture. I listen to them talking among themselves and sharing about the grass soup and flower salad that they were making. I had to smile because a lot of time has past since I played outdoors like this, but the message that was being told was the same. I am happy to see our children have the opportunity to play outdoors and that the same message is being told. "Being outdoors is a time of freedom and freedom is the greatest way to learn."
