Sink Vs. Float Experiment

Good afternoon! Today we enjoyed the warmer weather and explored the hillside with the mud kitchen. Some of the class pretended to cook and bake inside the mud kitchen. Another group decided to play a "movie game" where they used a pretend remote control to turn on a movie and acted out different actions that were called out. We also did a sink vs. float science experiment to see which items from our classroom would sink or float. Each child picked one item in the classroom and an item from outside to test out in our water bin. We made predictions about which items would sink and which items would float. When we went inside we counted how many items sank to the bottom and how many items floated on top of the water. Ask your child about our science experiment. Have a great evening!
