What is changing in our neighborhood?!

What do you see when you look at the world around you? Is anything different that it was yesterday? last week? last month?

Today during meeting we asked the Birch Room "what changes do you notice when you drive to school or go for a walk? Have you seen anything new or different in nature or in stores?"

Our walking task today was to notice ALL the ways the world around us is changing.

We noticed the leaves are falling.

The leaves are changing colors.

The garden for the chickens is gone.

There are till pumpkins, but they are rotten.

Almost all the scary stuff is all gone.

Some leaves are green and some are brown.

Some leaves are on the tree and some are on the ground.

Even the stores have begun changing their decorations...

SuS noticed that not every tree is changing colors.

We wondered why.

Does every tree drop their leaves?

Do some trees stay green?

Why do some plants die and come back?

Our mindful, noticing walk lead us to so many questions about the changing world around us.

What do you notice around you?
