A few weeks back, the children traced their homes onto transparency paper. Today, they explored their houses using the language of light. We observed to listen to children's noticings.
Some children talked about what they saw:
"I see a lot of windows. Our shadows are inside."- RJ
"I have stairs that take you down in my house."- CG

Another child began to tell a story with two of his friends.
"Once upon a time, there was a lonely boy, he has no food, walking down the road and he saw a pretty girl. They play tag with each other. They're going to a restaurant to eat lunch. They married and are going to have grapes for dinner. They are gonna have kids and then go to bed." -JE, LB, CG
Other children wanted to become neighbors so we began to add more houses to the image.
