Light discovery! Let's see where it takes the children.

Self-portraits

         We began work on self-portraits today. 

Look for them on display by the end of next week. 

We visited the kitchen today!!

We went to the kitchen today to make playdough.

We discussed how we made it:

                      1.) Get water

                      2.) Put flour in

                      3.) Salt

                      4.) Colors

                      5.) Cream of tartar and oil

            We stirred it. We put it on the stove.

The discovery of clipboards

As friends were building in the block area, they noticed the clipboards that were available. The

children began writing and drawing. Another group discovered the clipboards in other areas of 

the room.

"What does this say?" - RJ to a teacher as he wrote a sequence of letters together

"Look, Ms. Heather, I wrote my name." - CF

 

         "I want to write dad." - RJ

After writing Dad, RJ commented, "That's it." 

And then we began to check out new spaces

Welcome back!!

We spent our first day back relaxing in the Green Room exploring new materials and getting to

know one another although our families were not far from our thoughts!!
