Where does your scorpion live?  

Under a rock?

In a burrow? 

 

We even learned about more scorpions. 

We practiced writing letters.

We noticed differences about the scorpions. 

What Is Anatomy?

 If you have peeked in our classroom you may have noticed we have a word wall filled with big juicy words. These words come from our research, books we read during meeting and just by having conversations. Anatomy is a new word that we have been hearing frequently.

What is anatomy? That's a big word. 

All the parts that make up a creature!

Legs

Eyes

Claws

Tail

Mouth

Abdomen

The list goes on.. but do all creatures have the same parts? 

BL created a fennec fox by creating each part one piece at a time. 

After each part was created he put them altogether to create a fennec fox.

Do all snakes have the same parts? 

 

Did you know that there is about 1,500 different kinds of scorpions.

Some friends spent time in our new space creating different scorpions. 

They noticed lots of differences and even practiced writing some of the scorpions names!
