Glorious mud

 With all of the rain this week we knew exactly what we were headed for.  It was not just a forest...it was, as one friend said, a "Glorious" mud forest!

We stomped, we splashed, we sat, we wallowed...we even face painted!  We dug, we poked, we rolled, we scooped.  It was icky, squishy, goodness.  We loved every second of it!  

How does Birch Room work together?

 As we deepen out study of trees, we have noticed a transition to the care and needs of trees and plants. We have been collecting seeds, noticing when trees lose their leaves, worried about our tree getting cold, and wondered how trees talk to each other or what they eat. 

Each week we have been asking new questions to get our brains thinking about how we are like trees and how all living things are connected. 

Today, we wondered, How can Birch Room work together?

I build a forest. These parts are the trees and all around are the houses and these are the fireworks. The green ones are the leaves that fall off the trees. - RR

My imagination is thinking about an airplane.  This is the control tower...and security!  The stuff goes on here and gets an x-ray. - M

How do trees work together?

Our trees can talk. They talk with roots. These gems are the roots. We need to cover them up, because roots are under the ground. - LB
