Today we had some clues about a surprise we had planned. It started with a sticky note on the door with a question mark and an arrow leading us out of the room. We quickly got lined up and ready to go find more clues!
R - I'm so excited!!!
O - On the house! On the house!
A - Look at the mirror! There is one on there!
B - Why is he so mad?
C - Look at his face!
Next, we found a clue of a door. So far, they were very confused - an angry guy saying "no, no, no", a large house, and a door.
We continued on to find more clues! We needed to find a place with lots of flowers!
E - There are lots of flowers on the playscape!
Next, they found a clue of a strong girl where we need our muscles the most.
S - Wow, she has big muscles. Just like me.
F - So I think I know what is going on. It all comes together. The door goes to the house. You open the door and the man lives in the house. The roses are in the garden of the house.
Mrs. Riann - So you think they all go together... Let's think about what we've been studying
A - Bugs!
Mrs. Riann - Where do we go to learn more about bugs?
F - Outside! Outside!
Mrs. Riann - Where do we learn more inside the building?
S - In the kitchen! Bugs go in the kitchen!
The kids got quickly in line and went back to the bathroom!
M - I see it! It's on top of the book!
M - Oh my gosh, I knew this the whole time
F - It has a butterfly on it!
As Mrs. Riann started reviewing the clues, everyone was trying to think of what it could be.
A - It's Mrs. Angie!!!
Many - Yeah its Mrs. Angie!
Mrs. Riann - No it's not Mrs. Angie...
A - Its S! Its S!
Miss Brooke - She does have curly hair like S, and F, and O.
B - It's Mirabelle!!!
M - Yeah! It's Mirabelle!!!
Soon they realized that we were watching Encanto. They grabbed their blankets and headed to the carpet to watch. We told them they could take off their shoes, too.
B - This is the best
