Rolling into the weekend!

It's hard to say what our favorite part of the forest is, but this hill is definitely a contender for the winning feature!

Whether it be snow, leaves, sunshine or...MUD, this, hill grabs our attention and draws us in...and down!

There is nothing more magical to hear than the sound of unbridled joy coming from children.

At the bottom of this amazing hill what did we find, but another contender for favorite part of the forest.  This one ranks up near the top for some, and nearer the bottom for others!

"Ms L I don't like stepping in the mud!" MS
You may not like walking through it, but you definitely loved playing in it!!
"This is my fishing pond." MS

"I caught a fish!" MT

"I want to touch it!  It's COLD!!!" ESE

"I caught a piranha!" JB
Ah, I wonder if one of our favorite books reminded you of that fish?  Does he want to come eat at our restaurant?  Maybe we need to be kind and include him!
As our muddy play continued friends took off mittens to fully experience the puddle and its wonders.
I heard
sticky
gooey
cold
yucky
FUN

"Look at this big fish!"

While some friends were fishing, THIS puddle was a giant soup pot!
"Stir, stir, stir the soup!" AS

And this puddle...well this puddle was...
a swimming pool!!!!!
"Can I sit in it??" GC
You bet!

What would a forest be without all of the amazing trees that grow there?
Well, it wouldn't be much of a forest at all would it?
Thankfully our forest has trees aplenty and they provide endless hours of discovery and fun.
Two different groups of friends found "nature swings" today!

We are so thankful for the rainsuits our PTO provided for us a few years ago.  They allow us to experience nature no matter the weather.  And that is a beautiful thing because one of our favorite things about forest day is the
MESS!
