Hillside Fun

Good afternoon! Today we had a great morning learning, playing and exploring! In our classroom we had a morning meeting and learned about friendship. We read a book called Are We Still Friends? and had a class discussion about being a good friend at school. Next week our class will be welcoming a new friend, Ben, who was in the Seedling classroom last year! After our morning meeting we played a fun game called what's missing on the carpet. To play this game I collected six different items from around the classroom and put them on a small clear tray. The class got to see the items and then cover their eyes while I hide one item behind my back. They got to take turns guessing which item is missing from the tray. 

We also spent a lot of time outside enjoying the nice weather on the hillside. Our class enjoyed rolling big spools down the hill and chasing them. We had time to explore the big snail at the bottom of the hillside and also took turns doing our zip line. Our class learned that balancing on the zip line takes a lot of practice and patience. After we had a chance to explore and play we had a picnic lunch on the hillside. Ask your child about their favorite part of the day! Have a great evening.
