Good afternoon! Today in the Birch room we celebrated our friend S' 5th birthday! We decorated a birthday canvas with pictures, drawings, and his favorite colors. In the classroom we kept busy with creating our own small books, exploring a small world, and building with blocks. Outside on the playscape we noticed that around the observation deck their was new mulch put down. Some of the class noticed different signs of spring such as small flowers growing on the hill. One of our friends found a worm hiding in the dirt! I asked the class what type of worm it was and one friend said "It's an earth worm!" In order to take care of the worm the class worked together to find a shady spot for him to rest. The class took turns holding the worm and making sure that he was happy in the shady spot by the bush. Ask your child about what they discovered outside today. Have a great evening.
