Rainy Day Explorations

Good afternoon! Today we had a chance to explore playing with our salt dough we made on Friday. We used rollers, popsicle sticks, and small parts to make different creations. One friend noticed that it was more sticky than playdough and said "this can't be playdough it's too sticky!" We added some extra flour to make it a thicker texture. Some of the class enjoyed building with blocks and playing with the small dinosaurs. The rest of the class decided to prepare for a royal ball and wanted to make decorations. They decided on creating a disco ball garland on string to hang up for the ball and made signs that said "Come to our ball." This group of students had to meet together to decide who was taking tickets, what music to play at the ball, and where to hang the decorations. Ask your child about their favorite part of today! Have a great evening.

"We can build inside here so our blocks don't fall down!" -M.Y.

"We can make little disco balls for decorations!" -A
"We need to make them glittery!" -M.R.
"Then we can hang them up!" -M.S.

"I can help decorate a disco ball!" -T

"I can tape the disco balls on the string!" -M.S.

After decorating and putting their tickets in the bucket, we decided to dance to songs from Moana and Frozen.

"The spiders are taking a bath!" -F
