Fizzy Dinosaur Eggs

Good afternoon! Recently, our class has been interested in learning more about dinosaurs and exploring with dinosaurs inside and outside the classroom. Today we discovered fizzy dinosaur eggs and had the challenge of saving the small dinosaurs! Each child took a turn pouring colored vinegar on their dinosaur egg using a pipe cleaner. Some of our observations were:

"The dinosaur egg and water are fizzing!" -M.S.

"It's starting to melt!" -M.Y.

"I can see the dinosaurs inside the eggs!" -F

"My dinosaur is green! I think it's a stegosaurs!" -T

"The fizzy bubbles make the eggs melt and then we can get the dinosaurs out!" -A

We also explored the pergola area and our class pretended to go on an egg hunt outside. First, they decorated rocks with sidewalk chalk. Then took turns hiding the "eggs" in our area and other friends went to find them! Some of the class also discovered new flowers, mulch, and plants on the playscape as signs of spring! Have a great evening.

"I found some flowers!" -M.R.

"We can decorate these with sidewalk chalk" -S
"I can help!" -B
