Think about it Thursday

 There are only 11 days left of school!  We have done so many amazing things, but we're not finished yet!  Today for Think About it Thursday we wondered if we could think of ways to celebrate all we have accomplished.

"Like fun-ness!!" JI

Yes, exactly like fun-ness!  What can we do to bring 'fun-ness' into the last week of school?

"Be fast!" JA

It is SO fun to be fast.  What does that look like?  

This sparked a conversation of races and running, and being as speedy as Ms Lisa's daughter!

"That sounds dangerous." JI

You are right, running all around fast DOES sound like it could be dangerous.  How can we be fast AND safe?  And ideas flowed connecting to information and knowledge that we each had about what races look like.  We remembered that racers run in their own lane so they don't bump or crash.

"Clear the sidewalk and have a BIG race!" CF

Race Day sounds amazing!  What other ways might we celebrate?

"We can have a big party!" CG     "With decorations!"     "And snow cones!" RM

What should happen at this party?

"A dance party!" MS

"We can dress up." CG

"We can have some cookies." JA     "And balloons!" JI     "I LOVE BALLOONS!" ESE

Race Day, and Party Day!  What other ways can we celebrate?

"You can go to my house." HW  That is SO thoughtful of you.  But, your house is a bit far away, and no one would be there. I wonder if there is somewhere else we might be able to go?  Is there a place that is near your house that we could all go?

"You can go to my park, my playground." HW  I know exactly what park you are thinking about, Glen Park!  We COULD go to Glen Park!

But, I am wondering about something.  How would we eat lunch if we are at the park?

"We can take a snack." MS     "Take our lunch from the kitchen with us." ESE

We could have a park/picnic day!  That is an amazing idea!

Race Day, Party Day, Park Day....what else?

"You guys could buy a pool." JI

"WATER WEDNESDAY!!: RM     "RM just blowed my mind!" CG

"You could get squishy balls for the water." GC      "And a slip n slide." RM     "And a big beach ball." JI

"And you need a cooler!" EM     "I have a big ball at my home." 

Race Day, Party Day, Park Day, Water Wednesday..hmmm..anything else?

"We can have tree top tuesday where we climb trees!" CF

Where is a place that we can do that?

"The forest!!!!!"
