Playdough and new playspaces

We did it, two days of schools under our belt.

Once again, our day was filled with learning new things. When we experience inclement weather we make the best of our indoor spaces. Today we explored the gym, and what a morning it was. We puzzled through puzzles, climbed climbing walls, crawled through dark tunnels, jumped onto giant bean bags, and built castles with magnets.

With all this time inside, we also made a very desirable activity - PLAYDOUGH! Playdough is, never fail, a crowd pleaser. We added some yummy eucalyptus and it was very relaxing. Playdough is a great way to have fun, be creative, and work on fine motor skills.

One hard lesson every preschooler has to learn each year is taking turns and maybe not doing what we want every time. 3-5 year old's are full of amazing ideas and we would love to do all the things, all the time. Today we had two ideas - paint or dry erase. The best way to make a choice was to vote. We talked about what voting means and how that helps us decide. Each Birch friend moved their body to a carpet to represent their vote. Would we rather paint or use dry erase markers?

The painters have it!

Take a look at all the other amazing things we did today!
