How are trees like chickens?

 All living things need the same things, the same basic things. We read all about it in our book, Do Trees Get Hungry?

As we read, we learned about patterns everywhere. Patterns in the needs and lifestyle of living things. Today we meandered to the chickens and asked the question, "How are trees like chickens?" 

I wonder what patterns we will notice?

They can be the same color. Trees and chickens, and some chickens can be the same color. - LB

Their neck is straight, like a tree is straight. - HW

Chickens have feathers and trees have leaves. - RR

Trees don't have feathers, and they don't lay any eggs. - AP

Their feet look like roots on the ground. - JA

They need to breathe air. - PS

Dogs need water, but not chickens. 

Oh, do all living things need water?

Yes.

Are chickens a living thing?

Yes.

So, do chickens need water?

No.
