Finally, a day full of sunshine!

 We have waited all week for a the sun to shine. It has been rainy, dark, and cloudy. We have found ways to shine and have used our creativity indoors. Not today - today we spent our day outside. We spent it running and laughing in the sun, we celebrated a birthday and found millions and billions of cicadas. 

It was a purely preschool sort of day. 

We spent time in the sun, exploring more exoskeletons. There were wings and claws, heads and bodies. Some were all together and some were broken. 

We ran and raced, chased and laughed. Playing games of tags through the forest of plants. Little bodies were closely followed by silly giggles. 

Just like each day this week, we searched and searched for creepy, crawly creatures. Every day we find something new, a worm, a grub, even a REAL LIFE ALIVE CICADA!

We searched to find the places bugs like best. Cicadas seemed to like the trees, using their claws to hold on tight. Worms liked the cold, wet mud. Roly poly bugs could always be found hiding under wood and rocks.
