Have you heard about the cicadas? Better yet, have you seen the cicadas?!
Ms. Lisa was working on her yard this weekend and stumbled upon a HUGE group of holes full of cicadas. She was so excited to share her discovery and it inspired all our Birch Room friends to go on a cicada hunt!
Before we even stepped outside we found SO many cicadas. Were they really cicadas?
Today, we learned what an exoskeleton was. We learned what a cicada looks like, what a cicada sounds like, and where they like to live.

There is wonder and excitement all around us Nature is overflowing with amazing things for us to discover. When we take time to slow down and see things through the eyes of our children we can see the beauty within ..even within a cicada!
