Snowy Magic

During our morning meeting the kids were talking about snow and how their parents said "It's going to snow"  As the kids were busy building, decorating a lampshade, and working on a birthday canvas the snow began to fall.  I noticed it before any of the kids did and it was so exciting to see them notice the snow falling too!  They immediately ran up to the windows and we opened the blinds to watch.

"It's snowing!"
"I can't believe its snowing!"

"It's frosty!"
"Can we go out and play?"
"I wanna eat the snow"
"They are so big!"

As more kids came to the windows, the kids began to climb up on the window sills.

The kids noticed the giant flakes gathering up on the leave on the bushes and the picnic tables outside our windows. One students was intently watching the snowfall pile up.  She said, "Now I remember was snow looks like!"  This statement made me step back and remember this could be a new experience for some kids or at least some kids don't remember snow from last winter. So we decided to bundle up and go outside!
