Bear Hunt in the Forest

We did the going on a bear hunt song and movements this morning. On our walk to the forest, the children started singing the bear hunt song. Then they played Ninja turtles going on a bear hunt in the forest. Some of the Birch Room made maps of their bear hunts. Ask your child what they found today?

A shows us her bear hunt map.

"I crossed the bridge." -T.

"We’re going on a trail." -M.

"This is our secret hideout." -B.

"We found a nice and flat surface to draw." -A.

"Run, I found something." -S.

"I’m looking at the map." -M.

"Look! There's a bear!" -M., S., B. and F.

"We found a secret spot! Come look at it!" Singing "We're going on a bear hunt, I got my binoculars, I'm not afraid!" -A, M, and T.

"This is the bench where we eat lunch!" "We're having mac and cheese and grilled cheese!" -B.

T concluded, "There are no bears in this forest."
