Thursday Exploration

Good afternoon! This morning our class was excited to explore our new insect small world on the carpet. Our question was "What story can you tell with these materials?" Our class did a great job telling stories about the insects eating and playing together. We also had time to observe our caterpillar and hornworm in their bug cages. We looked at them with magnifying glasses to zoom in and see what they were doing. One student asked if we could hold our green hornworm so we decided to bring it out on the hillside to play with and let it explore. While on the hillside we used our musical instruments to make a marching band for the hornworm to hear and watch!
