Measurement and map exploration
Good afternoon. Today we took time to explore how we can measure ourselves and our friends. We used blocks on the carpet to see if they could stack them as tall as they are. After trial and error of building the block towers our class decided to lay down and measure each other with blocks. They were excited to count how many blocks tall each of their friends were and compare. Ask your child how many blocks tall they are! When we headed outside we drew maps of where the caterpillars go while they are outside. Our class had many different ideas about where they go such as inside their cocoons or chrysalis, to the forest to find food, and to crawl on logs and grass. Our class used their maps to look for caterpillars and explore our area. Have a great evening.
