Exploring the Gym

Good afternoon and Happy Monday! We hope you all had a great weekend with your family. It sure was a rainy morning, but that did not stop us from learning new things, playing with friends and having fun at school!

The Birch room began this morning by singing our morning song and checking in with one another. Several friends gave "thumbs down" to express how they were feeling. It sounds like the rain and thunder kept some kids up last night! As a choice, the students were able to express their emotions by building how they were feeling out of light table materials. Other friends practiced signing in their names, building with loose parts, and coloring with chalk. After playing, we needed to let out some energy! We turned on some dancing and busted out some groovy moves!

We continued our morning by exploring in the gym. Some students exercised by riding on the scooters while others climbed on the rockwall and explored the tunnel. A group of children built tracks for some balls and completed puzzles.

The Birch students ended the morning by playing some listening songs with our classroom music sticks. Ms. Susie and I were impressed at how well they were following the directions to the songs. Way to go, friends! Enjoy the rest of your day!
