How can we share and celebrate kindness? We have worked hard all week finding ways to explore and investigate. Today all that work was celebrated through a Comfy Kindness Celebration.
We started our morning making bags to collect kindness. Once that was done, we spent our meeting time discussing "what is kindness?"
Kindness is:
Hugging someone.
Picking up trash.
Loving someone.
Picking someone up when they are hurt.
Sharing.
Picking up a mess that is not yours.
Kindness is not something that happens only in the classroom. Kindness is everywhere. How can we show kindness to our community?
We noticed that our lower playscape was looking a little run down. How could we help take care of the space?
Our class divided into groups and each took a space to spruce up. Many friends used tools to move rocks back to the cave area. Some friends sorted through and organized our sand toys. A few even took brooms to sweep the sand back into the sand box.
To end our morning of kindness we took time to sit together and share kindness with each member of our class.
There were so many ways kindness was shared today. How can we keep the kindness flowing in the community and world around us?
