Good afternoon! Today we had a building challenge in the block area to build something tall enough to see it's shadow on the wall! Our class worked together to build a tall building with bridges and lots of decorations. As they were building they checked on the wall to see if it was tall enough to have a shadow from the projector! Some friends even noticed their own shadow on the wall and moved around to see their shadow dance. We will continue to explore light and shadows inside and outside the classroom. On the hillside we explored with small dinosaurs in baking soda and made our own "lava" to bubble around the dinosaurs. Some of our noticing's were:
"The lava bubbles more when you stir it up, like this" -M.S.
"We can pour more on to make it super bubbly!" -F
"What is this stuff? It makes the red water bubble!" -B
"We have to clean the dinosaurs off when they get lava on them" -T
