Think about it Thursday

 

Today's Think About it Thursday question was one that made our friends think.  We had no direction or expectation as to HOW they might make a circle.  We wondered what these friends would do or say?

Lots of friends showed me they could make a circle by picking up a pencil and a piece of paper and drawing one!

R, you asked me how you should make your circle.  Hmmm, you tell me.  How do you want to make a circle?

Big circles, tiny circles, perfectly round circles, and squished circles...we saw them all being drawn on our slips of paper.  You can make a circle.  You DREW one!

How can you make a circle?  J, you made a circle in the air!

Your arm went around and around and around in the air.  You made a circle!

C and J you drew your circle...on the table with your finger!  Your arm went around and around and your finger was the pencil!  You can make a circle on the table with your finger!

Circles on the tiny slips of paper, circles in the air, circles on the table.  I thought I had seen all of our circles but, G you picked up your pencil and you drew a circle right on our question invitation!

You made me smile and nod with the realization that children are always ready to teach me something new.  G, you made a circle too...right next to mine!  

Though we have only had two Think About it Thursdays, we can tell there is already a sense of excitement around them.  What will the question be?  What will it ask us?  Will we show something, or do something or....
