Welcome Back to Mushroom World!

 The forest is a magical place, a place where a child's imagination is on display. We have travelled on pirate ships, through the jungle, into space, and beyond. Today, when we entered the forest it took less than 10 minutes to travel back to the wonderful world of mushrooms. Lucky for us, Ms. Katie was there to be out guide! She is an outdoor expert, with the name of every fungus at the ready. The scientific names were long and silly sounding, so we tried our hands at naming them ourselves. 

As we explored all there was to see, the excitement grew! There were new fungus to identify. We tried to make up our own names, yellow flower mushroom, glowing green, big squish, and so many more. Have you ever been on a walk and noticed any of these?

How amazing is nature?! It brings joy to everyone and gives us new and exciting adventures everyday.

JI had some very clear rules for Mushroom World. 

1. We only look with our eyes. 

2. We don't touch anything.

3. We take care of all the mushrooms.

4. We NEVER eat anything.

All very reasonable and appropriate rules. 😊 We all did our very best to respect the space, explore, and imagine.

This is one big mushroom, but it really has four little ones. It just looks like one big one. - MT

Watching the curiosity and wonder on preschool faces fills our bucket. It keeps us striving to create these moments each day. 

What an amazing way to spend a warm (almost) winter day.
