The children LOVED bringing a special toy from home to play with at school today. This morning we talked with the kids how playing is so important for their brains to grow and learn. Students decided to build homes for their toys. Some used blocks others used paper to build. Students noticed that their toys live in water so they asked for a water tub. We had drawing of toys as well. We did a "Show and Tell" where the students share about their toy. Other students asked questions. What a great language skill!

While some of the kids went to the Collaboratory a few stayed in the room to play. They were building a house for their toys: a dolphin, an Elsa doll, a hyena, and an octopus.
The toys are napping in their beds.

We really enjoyed our Global School Play Day !
