conscious discipline

Tomorrow is Ambrose's first Parent Learning Night of the year.  The topic is one that is near and dear to our hearts in the Birch room, Conscious Discipline.
Conscious Discipline is one of the things that makes the Birch room a truly magical space.  A space where feel safe, safe to come just as we are even with our big emotions.  A space where we are loved and we belong.  A space where everyone is welcome, and we work together.  A space where we are intentional, and kind, assertive, and loving.  A space where to do hard things with support because it is the right thing to do.
What does conscious discipline look like in the Birch room?

It looks like wishing our friends well when they aren't with us.

It looks like Baby Doll Circle Time

It looks like learning breaths to help regulate our bodies and minds.

It looks like "I love you" rituals with friends.

It looks like creating a Safe Space to work through our big emotions with love and support

The link below will lead you to the Conscious Discipline website that is filled with parent resources for home.

We cannot urge you enough to attend Tuesday's parent learning night to learn more about what we do hear at Ambrose, and to learn how you can use these tools in your homes as well.
