Happy Tuesday! Today we spent a lot of time outside playing with slime, sliding down the slide, and talking about turning a corner of our room into a home. We made slime and played with it in a bin with small pumpkins.
R: This is so squishy!
M: It looks like eggs!
M: I'm covering my pumpkin!
T: It's all over my hands!
M: Look, Ms. Lacey! It's sticking to my hands!
E: Look! I put it all over this pumpkin!
Some friends had a group chat with Ms. Brooke about turning our dramatic play corner into a home.
Ms. Brooke: What could we do in our play corner? What if we turn it into a hospital or a doctors office?
A: We could turn it into a house or a building? Then we could change it!
M: We could do a house!
T: A slime store!
E: A grocery store!
O: A toy store!
M: A donut store!
Ms. Brooke: What are things a building has that you think we need?
B: Some places have bricks.
E: Windows!
F: A couch.
A: A door.
E: A key to open the door!
Ms. Brooke: What could we use as a door?
M: We could use all the blocks to make a big door
A: We need a place for garbage
E: We could use bricks to make a brick door!
C: We need a bed!
O: We need a shower!
So lots of our friends had such good ideas about what we could do with our corner! It's exciting to think about the creativity in our classroom and what we will create together :)
