With the help of Ms. Katie we made our biscuits today! I love going to the kitchen with the kids because it makes me get out of my comfort zone. (I am not one to bake or cook :-) ) First we had to measure all our dry ingredients together. We learned that with baking you have to have exact measurements or it won't turn out right. "It's like science"
Once the dry ingredients were mixed we had to rub in the fat. "I'm like a real baker!"
We really appreciate Ms. Katie's help and expertise in our cooking experiences. Then we had to cut the biscuits with a biscuit cutter.
"I know how to do this. I made biscuits with my mom."
All done! Time to enjoy with our jelly!
