Jelly Day!

Today was Jelly Day! We were so excited to make our jelly with Ms. Katie.   We first had to seperate the jars, lids, and rings.

We then had to measure out the raspberries. We learned that as you fill the cup to tap it on the counter so you get the exact amount.

 

A few berries were taste tested :-) 

Once the berries were measured, we had to wash them. Then the fun part, mashing the berries! 

 

After the berries were mashed we had to boil the sugar, water and sure jell with the berries.

Now it is ready to can! After we put the jelly into the cans we got to taste test.  It is yummy! We can't wait to put it on the biscuits we we will make next week.
