Today was the PERFECT day for a long walk. We have continued to focus and stretch our understanding of kindness every day. But there has been a new interest that has arisen in the Birch room. One that often occurs with the onset of Spring. Our Birch friends have become keenly aware of all of the insects around us.
One of the beautiful and natural outcomes of looking closely at the world around us is the shift that happens in some of our friends. We often hears squeals of fear when friends see certain creatures. As we have sat among them, drawn them, listened to them, we have witnessed a new spark of curiosity, the twinkling of wonder, the look of amazement and appreciation.
Today we set off to the Webster library to see what books they have that might help us with our learning. As we walked up we saw a bus from one of our elementary schools pull up and let off a LOT of kids. We knew that our plan needed to be flexible so we did what we do best, and went in search of nature while one teacher went inside in search of books!

And with that some friends set off on a full run...woah!!!!
