Walking with a purpose.

During meeting today we talked about what it means to be a Birch Room Friend. What should our bodies, brains, and hearts do? After much conversation we decided Birch Friends...

Help Others.

Are Kind to Everyone.

Clean Up.

Take Care (of ourselves, others, our classroom, our whole world).

Stick Together, Always.

Show Respect.

These agreements inspired us, so we decided to add a little intentional practice into our weekly walk.

We put on our "observation hats" and turned them WAY up! We were walking with two purposes. 1. Find places things can live in our neighborhood 2. Be the best Birch Room Friend we could be.

Check out our photos and videos, can you see ways we followed our agreements? Did you know our whole community is full homes for things, from cars to squirrels and birds to bugs.

A house for books.

 Spiders live in a web.

The chicken house.

A house for people to live.

An apartment is where 100 people live when the grow up older.

Ants live on the ground and in their ant hills.

This toad lives in our Forest!

Cars live in a garage!

There is a hole in this tree. It maybe is a squirrel or a bird, maybe a bat.

What do you think lives in this deep, dark hole?

There is trash living in the trash can! And the trash truck.

Belle, the dog, lives next door.
